Hearing loss can occur at any age due to wither medical or accidental causes.
Some accidental causes for hearing loss are Loud gunshot, Explosion of heavy firecrackers/bomb, Residing closer to airport runways, Working in loud factories or Industries etc.
Some Medical reasons that causes hearing loss are Brain Tumors, Severe Ear Infection, Meniere’s disease, etc. Certain medication drugs used for treating heart disease, cancer, etc. can also cause ear hearing loss.

Certain tests identify the stage and type of Hearing Loss. If treated immediately it can help to prevent excessive damage and improve the hearing capabilities with medication, therapy or hearing aid devices.

Physical examination by ENT specialist –
The ENT specialist examines the ear for possible damage or inflammation from ear infections or excess ear wax. The structural cause of the hearing problems is unraveled by the doctors.
Mobile App based hearing test –
Some mobile applications facilitate hearing tests by oneself on your tablet or mobile phone. If the test results are positive, you need to immediately consult the ENT specialist for treatment.
General Screening Test for Ears –
A general screening test is nothing but the traditional way of analyzing your hearing capabilities. The doctor whispers words at different volumes to analyze the hearing capabilities at various sound levels.
Tuning fork test –
